Increased sustainability with tesa® adhesive tape

Premium packaging tape using paper from sustainable sources.

tesa® 4313 PV12 is a high adhesive premium packaging tape featuring a paper carrier with a silicone-free release coat and a solvent-free synthetic rubber adhesive system. The tear-resistant premium paper carrier is made with paper from well-managed, certified FSC® forests and other controlled sources (FSC® C148769). tesa® 4313 PV12 provides very strong adhesion and tack to a wide variety of cardboard qualities and is therefore ideal to seal medium- and heavy-weight cardboard boxes. The carrier material is based on paper, a natural, sustainable material. As the product is chlorine-free and is based on derivatives of pure mineral oil, the disposal by heat treatment is environmentally friendly. The combination of the FSC®-certified paper carrier and solvent-free synthetic rubber adhesive makes the premium paper tape eco-friendly and recyclable according to the INGEDE method. tesa® 4313 PV12 can be used manually or with a dispensing machine and is available in the colours chamois and white. The premium paper adhesive tape is printable.

Robust paper carrier and a high-performance adhesive

tesa® 4513 is a paper-based packaging tape with a robust paper carrier and a high-performance synthetic rubber adhesive. The paper carrier of tesa® 4513 is made with paper from well-managed forests and other controlled sources. Thanks to the silicone-free release coat, very good printability with all types of ink systems is secured (externally tested). The synthetic rubber adhesive system provides very high adhesion and initial tack on a wide range of cardboard qualities. tesa® 4513 is the perfect solution for light and medium weight packaging applications (max. 15 kg) where excellent performance is required.

Applicable for all purposes and based on a natural rubber adhesive

tesa® 4713 is an all-purpose packaging tape based on a fine crepe paper carrier and a natural rubber adhesive. The carrier of tesa® 4713 is made with paper obtained from well-managed, certified forests and other controlled sources. The solvent-free natural rubber adhesive system is characterised by its good adhesion to a wide variety of surfaces and good initial tack.

Fiberglass-reinforced paper adhesive tape

tesa® 60013 is a highly adhesive paper tape with a fiberglass reinforced paper carrier, a silicone release coat, and a solvent-free synthetic rubber adhesive system. The paper carrier of tesa® 60013 is reinforced with a fiberglass scrim, making it a perfect solution for all paper applications, where a secure seal is required. In addition, tesa® 60013 synthetic rubber provides very strong adhesion and tack to a wide range of cardboard qualities and is therefore ideal for sealing of heavy-weight cardboard boxes. Thanks to its excellent adhesion and very aggressive tack, a tamper effect is achieved when this tape is removed from the cardboard.

Organic & Strong

tesa® 60400 is an organic-based packaging tape suitable for medium-weight packaging applications (15 – 30 kg), as the carrier material for this tape, polylactic acid, also known as PLA, was chosen. PLA is made from 100% renewable feedstocks such as corn starch, tapioca roots or sugar cane. The adhesive system used for this tape is a natural rubber with a natural-based resin. Thanks to the smart choice of raw materials and its outstanding design, tesa® 60400 is manufactured with a biocarbon content of 98% and has therefore a reduced carbon footprint.

Organic-based paper packaging tape.

tesa® 60408 is a paper-based packaging tape with a premium paper carrier and a high-performance water-based natural rubber adhesive. The paper carrier of tesa® 60408 is made with paper from well-managed forests and other controlled sources. This premium paper carrier is tear-resistant with a high tensile strength. Thanks to the silicone-free release coat, very good printability with all types of ink systems is guaranteed (externally tested). The high-performance natural rubber adhesive system provides strong adhesion and good initial tack on a wide range of cardboard qualities. tesa® 60408 is the perfect solution for light and medium weight packaging applications (max. 20 kg) where a premium performance is required.

Packaging tape made from recycled PET

tesa® 60412 is a general-purpose packaging tape based on a 70% recycled (PCR) PET carrier and a water-based acrylic adhesive system. tesa® 60412 has a strong and abrasion-resistant carrier with excellent adhesion properties. It features a solid acrylic adhesive, which makes this product the perfect solution for light- and medium-weight packaging applications (max. 30 kg). The material combination guarantees low noise unwinding and excellent printability with all types of ink systems.
